Protect Yourself from Identity Theft

We may be calling you.
To protect your account, we monitor your ATM and debit card transactions for potentially
fraudulent activity which may include a sudden change in locale (such as when a U.S.-issued
card is used unexpectedly overseas), a sudden string of costly purchases, or any pattern
associated with new fraud trends around the world.
If we suspect fraudulent ATM or debit card use, we’ll be calling you to validate the legitimacy of
your transactions. Your participation in responding to our call is critical to prevent potential risk
and avoid restrictions we may place on the use of your card.
- Our automated call will ask you to verify recent transaction activity on your card
- You’ll be able to respond via your touchtone keypad
- You’ll also be provided a toll-free number to call should you have additional questions
Our goal, quite simply, is to minimize your exposure to risk and the impact of any fraud. To
ensure we can continue to reach you whenever potential fraud is detected, please keep us
informed of your correct phone number and address at all times.
Protect yourself
In the meantime, please be diligent in monitoring transaction activity on your account and contact
us immediately if you identify any fraudulent transactions.
Here are some additional tips on protecting yourself from debit card fraud.
1. Unless absolutely required for a legitimate business purpose, avoid giving out your:
- Address and ZIP code
- Phone number
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Card or account number
- Card expiration date
Your PIN is private; never give it out.
2. In stores and at ATMs, always cover your card and PIN, and watch for:
- Cell phone cameras, mirrors, or other tools used to view cards and PINs
- People watching your transactions
- Cashiers taking your card out of sight; take it to the register yourself
- Any unusual activity at ATMs; if you feel uncomfortable, go to another ATM
3. Online, you should never respond to unsolicited emails that:
- Ask you to verify your card or account number; such emails are not sent by legitimate
businesses
- Link to websites; such sites can look legitimate but may collect data or put spyware on
your computer

INTRODUCING MASTERCARD
Enhanced ATM/Debit Card
Processing Program

In line with our continuing efforts to provide the highest level of service to our customers,
Woodlands National Bank is pleased to announce the conversion to our newly enhanced MasterCard ATM/Debit card processing program. Upon completion, you will experience new features including real-time ATM/Debit card account information, increased security measures and enhanced customer service.

You will be receiving a new ATM or Debit card February 27th through March 7th.  Immediately, you will notice our new card design. Your old card is green marble for debit cards/blue for ATM. Your new card will be Maroon for Debit cards, Grey and white marble for ATM cards and Blue marble for Business cards.  As we move forward with this conversion, please keep in mind the following important items.

• You will receive your new PIN within three to five business days after you receive your card. If you do not receive your PIN by March 9th, please contact your local branch representative.
• You can change your PIN number by calling the 800# provided in your pin mailer. You will need your new ATM/Debit card, your new PIN number and the reference number provided in the PIN mailer in order to request a PIN change.
• Your new card can be activated at anytime. You will need to start using your new card starting at 2:00 AM on March 12th. Until then, please keep using your existing ATM/Debit card.
• After 2:00 AM on March 12th, you will no longer be able to use your existing ATM/Debit card.  It is important that you destroy your existing ATM/Debit card after March 12th.
• Your new daily limits on your card will be $1500.00 for point of sale purchases and $400.00 for ATM withdrawals. The daily limits are from midnight to midnight.
• If you currently have recurring transactions posting to your debit card, you will need to update information appropriately.

Our team is prepared to answer your questions and accommodate individual needs. Please let us take this opportunity to thank you for your continued business; we consider it an honor to serve you. Please contact us at 888.532.4142 with any questions or concerns.
